Fastelavn...
This sunday children are dressing up as Zorro, batman, police, princess, mouse and much more.
In the old days Fastelavn was a Carnival with days of masking, drinking and eating, before 40 days fasting.
It was a time for Adults to lose control and forget who was poor and who was rich for a short while.
Children were whipping there parents out of bed with decorated birch branches, a symbol of fertility.
Ash wednesday it was time to fast... and confess all your sins.
Nowadays it´s a party day for children, where adults civilized drinks coffee and admire their children's outfits...
